October's employee spotlight shines on Jake Spencer. As an intake coordinator, he's the face who connects those who are considering services to Overture's unique vision and mission. Be sure you say hi next time you see him!
Q: Where are you from? What area of Colorado are you in now?
I was Born in Arizona and I am currently in Longmont, Colorado.
Q: What is your color, based on the True Colors training?
I am Green and Blue.
Q: How long have you been at Overture?
A: I have been with Overture for almost 2 years.
Q: What is your role at Overture and how would you describe what you do?
A: I am the Northern Intake Coordinator. I meet with clients looking for services and potential HHPs. Then I try and make great fits between the people we serve and our providers.
Q: What is your favorite thing about Overture?
A: I love working for a company with people who truly care about what they are doing. It actually does matter to us that we are able to make the people we serve happy with where they live and the people they spend their time with.
Q: What do you most enjoy about your workday?
A: I love when I get to meet with people and discuss what Overture is about. It really is a different approach and I think people appreciate that.
Q: When not at work, how do you like to spend your time?
A: I play a lot of video games, especially during the winter. When the weather is nice I like to go fishing or go golfing. I also love to hang out with my cat, Rigby.
Q: If you were a superhero, what would your powers be?
A: Invulnerability would be amazing. Then I could do extreme sports and not worry about getting injured.
