Residential Services FAQs

Host Homes & Family Caregivers

A Host Home is a home environment where a trained Provider offers daily living supports and services geared towards independence, choice, growth, etc. They receive support from Overture staff and collaborate with family and guardians to provide an environment where the person in services can thrive. Residential services are all-inclusive and are designed to ensure all identified needs of the person in services are met.
The role of a Host Home Provider is to provide a stable home environment that allows for a life of opportunity, choice, and growth through plans customized to each person in services’ personality, aspirations, and strengths. We believe a Host Home setting allows for greater opportunities and possibilities because of individualized plans and consistent supports on a smaller scale. Overture has a history of helping people coming from other environments such as institutions or group homes to successfully transition into the home environment and community access that Host Homes provide.
A Family Caregiver provides and receives the same supports and services as a Host Home Provider. For more information, please contact us.
They will need Medication Administration and CPR/First Aid, with more to follow. Overture provides individualized training to all providers and caregivers on each person in services. Overture staff works as a team to ensure all trainings are current. In addition to trainings, we provide ongoing monitoring in the home through weekly contacts and monthly visits.

Day Services FAQs

Day Program, Supported Employment, SLS, & CES

Supported Living Services are used to supplement already available supports for adults who either can live independently with limited supports, or if they need extensive support, are principally supported from other sources, such as the family. SLS provides a variety of services, such as personal care (like eating, bathing and dressing) or homemaking needs, accessing his or her community, help with decision-making, professional therapies, and transportation. Supported Living Services are not intended to meet all needs.
Programs, services, and facilities designed to assist adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to access and participate in their communities. Overture provides Person Centered Day Services where our activities are individually tailored for the people we serve. We understand that everyone is different so we listen to what our participants enjoy doing most and adjust our program accordingly. We also have Supported Employment opportunities available for those interested in building skills and experiences that can lead to long term employment.
Overture currently has several Day Programs which serve their local communities, located in Windsor, Longmont, Arvada, and Colorado Springs. We serve participants living from Fort Collins to Pueblo and surrounding areas.
We maintain flexible, mid-sized Day Programs in order to better provide Person Centered supports and services to our participants. We have 1:1 or group options available, depending on what the person requesting Day Services would benefit the most from.
We do our best to accommodate Host Home Providers and families and adjust our Day Program operating hours to what the person in services needs.
Both. Overture Day Programs have a multi-faceted base site and is also active in the community, including volunteer opportunities.
Transportation is available on a limited basis. If the person in services can fit into our schedule or route, we may be able to accommodate.
We provide other Supported Living Services and Children's Extensive Support on an individual basis. For more information, please contact us.
